COLOMBO ROUND TABLE NO.1

We believe that "No child" with impaired hearing shall grow up untreated because his or her parents are ignorant or are unable to bear the cost of diagnosis and treatment. Every such child should be helped to overcome the impairment in order to achieve the full potential for self development towards becoming a productive and useful citizen without being a burden to the society.

This project comes with a strong vision to train children through auditory verbal therapy by having an audiology center with all facilities so that they can rehabilitate our deaf & hard of hearing kids who are studying not only in our Early Intervention Pre School but to any in the country. Colombo Round Table No.1 has selected and embarked on this project to facilitate the audiology center for NHF (Narada Hear Foundation - Gampaha) by raising the necessary funds.

"The Round-Table" is an International Service Organization which inaugurated its Chapters in Sri Lanka in 1994. Inspired by King Aurthur and his Knights, the members of a Round Table, sit at meetings in pure and total equality irrespective of positions they hold in their respective clubs , which we refer to as a "Table".

In Sri Lanka, we have 4 Tables and a National Body called RTSL (Round Table Sri Lanka).

In recent times, RTSL has been involved in post Tsunami rehabilitation projects worth over U$2 Million, with financial aid received from Round Tables around the world, Round Table International (RTI), and corporate donors.
